Radiant Barrier

Radiant Barrier reflects heat.  There are three ways in which heat goes from warm spaces to cold spaces:  CONDUCTION is direct heat flow through a solid object such as a wall or a ceiling.  CONVECTION is heat movement through air, occurring when air is warmed.  The warm air expands, becoming less dense and rises.  RADIATION is the movement of heat rays across air spaces from one warm object to a cooler object.  We can help you "beat the heat" by installing your choice of radiant barrier.  We offer Super R Plus, which is a foil-type product that is stapled to the underside of your roof's rafters.  Another option is the application of one of our spray-on type radiant barriers called HeatBLOC-75 or HeatBLOC-Ultra.  HeatBLOC-75 is an excellent investment which normally can save 8-12% on air conditioning costs.  HeatBLOC-Ultra has the lowest e-factor of all spray-on radiant barriers at .19 and blocks 81% of the radiant heat trying to enter your home.  All of these products are excellent radiant barriers that will help reflect the sun's rays and help prevent its heat from entering your home, thus reducing your energy usage and energy costs.  Our highly trained specialists will help you decide which option is best for you.

Attic Insulation

We have several different insulation options for our customers.  We offer a cellulose insulation product made by Applegate, many foam insulation products made by SWD Urethane, and a fiberglass insulation product made by Certainteed.  After determining your home's specific insulation needs, we will blow the appropriate amount of insulation into your attic to achieve the desired R-Value.

Insulation Removal

If you have damage to your insulation due to water, fire or pest problems, you may need to have your old insulation removed before adding new, fresh insulation.  We provide this service to our customers at a minimal cost.

Solar Energy Systems

Installation of our high performance solar photovoltaic (PV) system designed specifically for your home will result in significant financial savings.  Current utility rebates and federal tax credits make this an excellent time to invest in this very effective energy saving home improvement.  Our Solar Energy System Designer will meet with you to assess your power requirements, the sunlight availability of your home, and other important factors to determine the type of solar energy system that best meets your needs.  As a courtesy to our customers who wish to finance the installation of their solar energy system, we have a relationship with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.  Call us today for more information.

Weatherization

We will determine if your home has air leaks by using several different testing measures.  If we find air leaks, we will repair holes at plumbing penetrations, caulk windows, and weather strip doors, as necessary.

Duct Sealing

Leaking ducts can reduce your air conditioning unit's efficiency by up to 30%.  We will test your system and make the appropriate repairs.  This work may be covered wholly or in part by the Texas Energy Incentives programs.  Call our office today to see if you qualify.

Attic Ventilation

Good ventilation is essential for reducing heating and cooling costs.  Ventilation is a necessary component of maximizing the efficiency of your insulation and for maintaining a healthy house.  We offer a wide range of ventilation products, including ridge vents, soffit vents, turbine vents, solar-powered vents, and static vents.

Energy Audit

Our trained representative can give you a free, no obligation general assessment of your home's energy efficiency.  If you are looking for a more in-depth energy audit for your home, at an additional cost, our certified Home Energy Rater can give you a very detailed assessment of your home's energy efficiency.  Our HERS rater will identify specific energy issues and provide you with suggestions to maximize your home's energy efficiency.
